> [!IMPORTANT] This was one of [Simon's](https://www.instagram.com/skwcheng) trip highlights. [Fourtreat Kusatsu](https://fourtreat-kusatsu.com) is a resort in [[Kusatsu (草津町)]]. We stayed there for two nights: [[2024-09-14]] and [[2024-09-15]] (departing [[2024-09-16]]). ![[fourtreat kusatsu IMG_4313.png]] ![[fourtreat kusatsu IMG_9148.png]] ![[fourtreat kusatsu IMG_9127.png]] The resort has a snack bar, which includes things such as water, coffee, tea, juices, crackers, honey, nuts, and cookies. ![[fourtreat kusatsu IMG_9130.png]] ![[fourtreat kusatsu IMG_9131.png]] ![[fourtreat kusatsu IMG_6463.png]] The resort has a library area where you can sit and relax while enjoying the snacks. ![[fourtreat kusatsu IMG_4287.png]] They also have a gender-separated [onsen (温泉)](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Onsen) area: ![[fourtreat kusatsu IMG_4286.png]] ![[fourtreat kusatsu IMG_9128.png]] It was one of two places we visited that made visible efforts towards their [Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)](https://www.mofa.go.jp/policy/oda/sdgs/index.html). (The other was [[Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan (海遊館)]].) ![[fourtreat kusatsu IMG_4284.png]] The resort offers both traditional- and Western-style rooms. The traditional-style rooms include a private onsen. We stayed in a Western-style room.
