The [Ikebukuro Life Safety Learning Center (池袋防災館)](https://www.tfd.metro.tokyo.lg.jp/taiken/ikebukuro/index.html) is a disaster and safety education center located in [[Tokyo (東京都)]]. It is accessible via [[Ikebukuro (池袋)]].
This center provided a lot of interesting information and history on disaster relief and recovery in Japan.
It also had a bunch of hands-on activities to help teach people how to handle various disasters. Some of the activities we practiced included using a fire extinguisher and crawling through a building as it filled up with smoke. They also had [an earthquake simulator](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDZB02QmnPE) where you could experience an earthquake of varying levels on [the Richter scale](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richter_scale).
