> This shrine is dedicated to Amaterasu-o-minokami (the Sun-Goddess), Tosho-daigongen (Tokugawa leyasu) and the third Lord of the Kaga clan Maeda Toshitsune in 1643, the lourth Lord Mitsutaka was permitted to construct the shrine Tosho-sanjo-daigongensha to worship these three deities in Kita-no-maru (the north enceinte) of Kanazawa Castle. The venerated shrine, with more than ten buildings bearing the Tokugawa crest, was called "Edo in Kanazawa Castls" or "Nikko in Hokuriku" in 1874. It was renained Osaki Shrine and in 1878, it was moved to its present site to house the Ministy.
